This Chickering Walnut Console was made in the U.S. in a day when Americans led the world in quality craftsmanship. And Chickering is one of only five companies to have put one of their pianos in the White House! This would fit in a premium section if just a few years younger, and still has a wonderful, rich sound–very pleasing to the ears. And it was made in a day when keytops were made of real ivories and ebony wood, for a smooth feel. Although it also means chipped keytops cannot really be repaired. Many players would not even notice them, but we wanted you to know, which is what brings this piano to such a low price. Nice walnut wood, with burled grain on the music desk makes a classic appearance. Like all our pianos, it comes with a Full Trade-up Option any time.
