Students of piano-making know that Mason & Hamlin is one of the premier American manufacturers of pianos, and they are one of very few to still be making pianos today. This 5’8″ parlor grand was first made in 1911, owned by a famous musician, and rebuilt a few decades ago with new strings, hammers, tuning pins and even a new pinblock to enhance tuning stability for additional generations. The sound and performance are reminiscent of Steinway, but of course the investment level is lower, primarily because there are fewer shoppers aware of the great value. Nice find!
