This Bush & Lane Vintage Console is a fascinating piece of American history, as well as a nice used piano. The company did well in Holland, Michigan till the Great Depression hit, and had to close in 1931. Before that, they were known for making strong, heavy, often ornate pianos that really held up well. This console is no exception. It shows signs of age, including the keytops. The tone has brightened over the years. But it is still pleasing, the action is still working freely. And this one has a unique feature that is going to make someone very happy. The storage bench has a built-in back like a chair, so that it provides a bit of support.
