This Wurlitzer Blonde Spinet is a cute little piano that was made in America. The wood is actually a cherry grain with a lighter stain, and the top of the piano is covered in a form of leather piano makers were experimenting with shortly after the war. It is quite solid, and quite hardy. And still sounds good enough to practice on too! Like all our wood pianos, you can use the full value of what you paid to trade up toward something newer or better whenever you want to. So it can be a down-payment toward a new Baldwin or a rebuilt Yamaha if you want. Or a baby grand. But it’s better than a keyboard and not a bad way at all to get started while keeping a budget. Only The Piano Guys seem to care about these spinets, but they are a piece of Americana and also an economical way to start playing music that we hate to let go of.
